I was impressed that Cody had a very good Japanese restaurant! Cute sunken booths (a little hard to get in and out of) but we all felt the food was authentic and delicious.
Food was great. We ordered beef sukiyaki, California roll, teriyaki beef and sashimi. The sukiyaki was an appetizer which normally it's an entree but it was the perfect portion for 1 person. It could have used more stock in it. Wasn't a huge fan of the tofu though. The beef teriyaki was great tasting but the meat was a little tough. The sashimi tasted fresh and came with the usual ginger and wasabi. I did have to ask for my brown rice 3 times. By the time it came out, it was fresh so I think they just made it for me. Our waiter was very nice.
Their veggie options are super good! Was glad to find something vegan we can eat here that was delicious. We got veggie spring rolls, garden roll, and the Age tofu. Really cute little restaurant with great customer service. Also the iced green tea was the best I've tasted! Not super sweet and not too bitter.
Had our sushi to go and it was absolutely perfect. I'm so glad Shikis is still open in Cody. It's by far one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever eaten at, and I have had sushi all over the US. Godzilla, Snowball, and Yellowstone rolls were made to perfection, and the wait staff and owner were incredibly polite while we waited for our food. I'll most definitely be back next week again, and that will be my 6th visit this year since I've been here mid-May!
First of all the older lady who was our waiter was so sweet. I'd let her adopt me But really, the place was closing and we offered to get to go or just leave and she sat us and while closing up still gave great service. The food was amazing. I've eaten there once before and it was the same great quality (in my groups opinion. ) Price is amazing for what you are receiving and you're getting plenty of it. I'm def eating here everytime I'm in Cody at least once. The plum wine is a must for drinks btw. Trust me
